Consumer Refund Policy
We have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 calendar days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn and unused, with tags, and in its original packaging unless faulty.
The Italian Closet offers an exchange or online store credit for perfect returned items that are not suitable due to fit or other reasons. Any online store credits are to be used within 6 months of purchase. Note if the size or colour requested is unavailable, store credit or a refund will be offered. The store credit is eligible to be redeemed online only.
Faulty Garments
In the rare occurrence of receiving a faulty garment, we will replace, credit, or refund any faulty item within 1 month of purchase. Please inspect your order upon receiving it, and inform us if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item. To do so, email us via info@theitaliancloset.com.au along with an attached photo of the fault if possible, so that we can evaluate the issue and replace items wherever possible.
Returns Process
For returns – please email info@theitaliancloset.com.au Be sure to include in your email:
- Your order number
- Description of the items you want to return
- Reason for return
- Your name, postal address and the email address used to place the order
- You can always contact us for any return questions at info@theitaliancloset.com.au
Please note: Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Key points regarding returns:
- Any online products classified as “sale” or “clearance” are ineligible for returns or refunds.
- We do not refund postage costs, just the cost of the item itself
- This Returns Policy detailed here refers exclusively to purchases made from The Italian Closet website
- Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs in returning the item to us
- The Italian Closet will cover the postage cost of the replacement item being dispatched via our warehouse. This will be sent via the standard Australia Post rate
Gift Cards
Online gift cards / bespoke gift coupons are valid for 36 months from the date of
issue and are not redeemable for cash. Gift cards are therefore expired following the 3 years of purchase
